I’d like to share a bit of French wisdom I heard as soon as I got here but was very nicely reminded of today while working on a school project.
“Quand on est en France on s’en bat les couilles!”
meaning, while in France, they/we/everybody doesn’t give a flying funk!
That is all nice and dandy but the word by word translation is
“When one is in France one beats his own balls!”

Top Gear Season 15
Hey there reader!
‘Tis Sunday evening, 19:30 GMT, looking for BBC2 on the French cable, non-existing (of course). I try the BBC2 live webcast, not working (obviously), so I sadly give in and tell to myself, I’ll just get it off the inter-webs tomorrow. Though I would have really watched through the commercials to just see it here and now.
So finally, the moment has come, when after an excruciating 30 minutes of downloading, I still have to wait 8 more for the whole thing to get here
